This elegant and classy cocktail has a rich history dating back to the 1920s and was made popular by its mention in well-known films and TV such as Casablanca. As with many cocktails, the history is a little blurry but it has resulted in a stunning cocktail perfect for the party season.

50ml Gin
Top up with Champagne
A splash of sugar syrup
Squeeze of lemon
Directions:
