Auchentoshan
Auchentoshan acts as one of the few distilleries operating in the Lowlands region of Scotland, Auchentoshan is sometimes known as ‘Glasgow’s Distillery’ due to its proximity to the city. Auchentoshan’s rarity goes beyond its status as a Lowland whisky. For a long time, it was the only distillery practicing triple distillation of its spirits. This triple distillation has the effect of softening the end flavour for a smoother, light-bodied whisky. Auchentoshan has a gingery and slightly drying with a pleasant lingering nuttiness to finish. A crème brulee smell with a burst of citrus and the signature nuttiness and green leafiness gives Auchentoshan Oak Whisky its signature taste.
