The John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum liqueur was originally created by Sir John D. Taylor Mountjoy of Bridgetown, Barbados in 1890. It is rum-based and mixed with sugar cane, lime almond and cloves. Is a Key ingredient in the Barbados cocktail Corn 'n' Oil made with Barbados rum, Falernum liqueur, lime juice and Angostura bitters.
