“It’s the passion that the family brings firstly to the growing of the grapes then to the making of the wine. Our philosophy is to do as little interference as possible and make the wine as pure as possible. We think of it very much as a Ridgeview effort. When I look at the wine, it’s something that everybody has contributed to and it’s what we do together that makes it work.” Mike Roberts MBE Founder of Ridgeview.

Klein Constantia is custodian to some of the most historic vineyards in South Africa and, indeed, the world. The unique location, climate and soils of our estate call for the making of terroir-driven wines, and it is to this principle that we are deeply committed.
Simple winemaking techniques are used to extract the best from grapes grown in expertly nurtured vineyards in the aim of making consistently excellent wines.
"160 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, 4 wineries, 17 wines, 150 employees across the vineyards, winery and office. It has always been the region and the people that guide us: promoting the wines and unique characteristics of the Langhe, defending the soil and the terroir, and involving the people we work with are among the fundamental principles of our family business."
"We believe in the land hundred percent, the winery is obviously important, but great wines are made with great grapes".
Situated just 30 km South-East of Beirut in the southern end of the Bekaa Valley, the Château Musar vineyards are famous throughout the whole wine drinking world for the quality of their wines and the great history that lies behind each bottle produced. Gaston Hochar founded Chateau Musar in 1930 inspired by Lebanon's 6,000 year wine making tradition and his travels in Bordeaux. Gaston's son's sons are Ronald Hochar and Serge Hochar who became the Château Musar winemaker in 1959 and was named Decanter's first man of the year in 1984 for dedication to winemaking.
