Grape: Chardonnay
Typical of the Blanc de Blanc style, this English Sparkling is fragrant on the nose and holds powerful complexity on the palate. A rich, bready and creamy character provided from the Chardonnay grapes leading to a delightfully soft and satisfying floral finish.
Perfect when paired with shellfish and seafood yet equally delicious with heavier, white meat dishes and strongly flavoured cheeses.
This wine is aged for 18 months on the lees prior to disgorgement and 9g/l of residual sugar which puts it in the high to middle of the Brut category. The palate is nicely balanced, long, soft and precise. Lovely, expressive and quintessentially English.
